Our Government wants to spend $368 Billion on submarines, at a time when we have so many social problems that they seem unable to address. It is vested interests in Australia and the US that drive our politicians to ignore those they are supposed to represent.

Wages stay low
Politicians ignoring
Saying “Not so”
But large corporations
Enjoying a boon
Cheaper to live on the moonRents heading skywards
Few places to let
With mortgages spiralling
Many buyers regret
Not enough public housing
No more coming soon
The homeless can sleep on the moonWho wants war with China
The people say No
Let’s always stay neutral
Not stand toe to toe
We’re buying the hardware
But the Yanks call the tune
We’ll bury the dead on the moonEmissions increasing
And methane on top
We’re losing our planet
This madness must stop
So all those who profit
From the Fossil silver spoon
Send them all up to the moon
